This is Emily and Phil. We live in Munich and have been together since summer 2014. Phil is a photographer and has been self-employed since 2018. I trained as an office management assistant and am currently working in marketing for a Munich newspaper.
We love travelling to new places together, finding new projects and to implement ideas. Especially if it‘s got something to do with photography, video or social media.
One of our newest ideas is this blog. We experienced so much together on our world tour and learned so many new things and we would like to share all of it with you. We created this blog to show you, that there is a huge world out there, which is just waiting to be explored.
But where did the name “shraveler” come from?
Let me explain:
My mum is from London, so my sister and I grew up bilingual. I am probably the shortest family member, so my mum always calls me “Shrimp”. Because Phil is only a few inches taller than me, she startet calling him that too.
When Phil and I were thinking about a name for our Blog we really wanted to create a name, that combines something personal about us and our love for travel.
One night I came up with the idea to combine the two Shrimp and Traveler.
This ultimately resulted in „Shraveler“.
